No. A referral is only required if your medical aid plan requires one to refund your consultation fee.
How long does a consultation with Dr Street last?
The first consultation is scheduled for 30 minutes, including investigations such as x-rays, discussion and any in-room procedures that may be required.
Follow-up consultations are scheduled for 15 minutes, including post-operative visits and investigation discussions.
Do we accept medical aid?
In-room consultations are paid upfront according to our billing policy. The patient must submit an invoice to their respective medical aid to receive reimbursement according to their plan.
Patients who undergo surgery are covered in full by certain medical aids, but quotations are provided so you can be fully aware of the applicable costs.
Due to the complexities in the billing process created by the medical schemes, Dr Street’s accounts department will assist you in finding the most cost-effective solution.
